Following a routine annual review of our safeguarding policy, the committee has agreed that with immediate effect anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while attending the club.

Previously, under 18 attendance was permitted at the discretion of the committee member present. We have moved away from this approach to ensure a clear, consistent safeguarding policy that protects young people, volunteers, and the club.

This policy aligns with best practice for community organisations working with young people. Whilst we don’t expect this to actually change how anyone attends the club, it does remove any ambiguity from our policy.
