Below are the minutes from the 2026 AGM:
Chairmans opening speech:
Welcome everyone to the Hull’s Angels 2026 AGM.
Exceptional Year – multiple events and leagues running. Filling our weekends in the second half of the year. The quality of event packs has been exceptional, even the hosting of live tables on the website. Thanks to Tim
New Cleaner on board with Will’s Wife helping us out.
Incredible year for investment. £1.6K toilets. £2.5K Tables and stools. £600 Front door. New lights installed in back room. TV on the wall for events. Nearly £5K of extra investment in the space.
We were approached by Look North in the summer to create a video on us. That went viral and we got a lot of support from people around the world. Great to see and gave us a great boost.
Extra terrain now on the shelf. 13 full sets of UKTC terrain. WTC terrain is on the way. We have a club printer donated which is working well. Thanks to Matt for picking up on that recently.
Tim has worked wonders on our new trophies for events, including the fantastic “wooden spoon”. We’ve been able to reduce cost, increase quality. Aim of making our events some of the best in the country whilst maintaining the margin needed to invest in the space.
We knew that expenses would be higher with rent increasing in line with the last 3 years of inflation all at once. From £10K per year to £12K per year. We set out last year to combat that price increase by bringing more people in and running more events.
We started the year with £9.5K in the bank. We’ve finished with £10K in the bank. Even after investing £5K in the space, and having our bills increase by £2K, we’ve still made a profit of £500. That wouldn’t have happened without the continuous hard work from the rest of the team and the constant push to provide that great experience for the members. It keeps our reserves high and ensures we’ve got funds to invest in the future.
Next area to invest in is some vinyls and signage on the front of the glass and the door. Big thanks to the rest of the team for putting on some fantastic events over the year, being available to open on weekends and giving their input, pretty much daily, behind the scenes. Big thanks to the members for continuing to come down on club nights, sign up to events and leagues and continuing to contribute to the club.
Departing committee members: James Mackenzie Mark Ward Ben Taylor Dom Neuner We wish them all the best for the future.
